One of my favorite things about Beautycounter is that they have clean, high quality skincare and makeup. I don’t want to be shopping around different brands for all of the different things. It’s so great that I can get everything I need here.

Here are a few of my favorite things about Beautycounter:

• Their mission – “to get safer products into the hands of everyone” – and they don’t just mean their own products. They are advocating for change in our laws, and have been part of helping to pass at least 14 laws in the past 10 years to help regulate the personal care industry and get toxic ingredients out of the products on store shelves.
• They also are part of the change by creating their own highly effective, but safe skincare and makeup products, currently banning over 2,800 questionable or harmful chemicals that we never use as ingredients in our products. This includes the nearly 1,700 chemicals banned or restricted in personal care products by the European Union, plus additional chemicals screened by Beautycounter and found to be of concern. The U.S. currently only bans 30.
• They are committed to Responsible Sourcing.  This matters, and I would much rather support a company who is doing everything they can to fight for people and the planet than one who isn’t.
  • For example, vanilla is an ingredient used in our Sheer Genius Conditioning Lipstick and Beyond Gloss.  “Harvesting vanilla is an extremely labor-intensive process, and the industry is historically notorious for human rights issues, like wage theft and child labor. That didn’t sit right with us, so we set off to vet a best in class supplier. We’ve conducted third-party audits to fully understand where our ECOCERT organic vanilla is coming from and how our partners work every day towards better vanilla sourcing.”
